Car Ralley

Last weekend Wayne and I went back out to the Dingwall Foster Home to take the kids on a car ralley. We had three kids on our team - a brother (12) and sister (6), and another guy (10). To their shock and our surprise we came first! Winning was a combination of returning to Dingwall in 2nd place before lunch and 4th after, a quiz we did with the kids in the car (eg. name one All Black, the capital of NZ), and a scavenger hunt (find a Chinese restaurant menu, an empty coke bottle, a McDonalds spoon, an Air New Zealand baggage tag etc). It was so much fun... the car ralley took us to the airport, a movie theatre, to YWAM, it had us running around the carpark, finding clues on fences, returning shopping trolleys! The highlight of the day was undoubtedly seeing our kids grow to trust us, relax and really enjoy themselves :)
