Visitors from Japan!!!

On Saturday Naoko x2 and Haruyo, friends from my church in Japan, flew into Auckland. At first it didn't seem strange to see them at all, but over the past few days it's been setting in how wonderful it is to have them come all this way to hang out for nearly a week :) I picked them up from their hotel for some immediate sight-seeing. We headed over the Harbour Bridge for lunch in Devonport, a dear wee village well known for its out-door cafes and antique shops. After recharging their batteries we strolled down to the waterfront and then up Mt. Victoria to get a panorama view of the city and Rangitoto Island. We managed to fit in an extra walk along a beach barefoot before dinner :)
