There were 10 different projects going on over the 4 days we held City Lights: the fun days at Otahuhu I spoke of above, practical help at foster homes including painting window frames, painting murals at women's refuge centres, spending time talking and doing collages with women in the refuge centres, fun days at Dingwall foster home, taking foster kids out for fun excursions to give caregivers a break, 500 free tickets given away for families to go to a pool complex for the day, cleaning up a waiting room at a detention centre where families wait to see their loved ones, and other random acts of kindness.
